BODY POSITIVITY THROUGH VIRTUAL EVENTS
The other night, I logged on to the White-After-Labor-Day virtual party, just for a little fun and to see my virtual fam (which has become a thing over the last few months). I logged on and saw the beautiful faces of the people who I've gotten to know since we began hosting virtual events, everyone had on their own version of a white outfit, talking, giggling and shouting out trivia answers to the hostess conducting the evening's trivia game.
When the hostess saw I was on, she gave me a warm welcome and asked what I was wearing. Which was nothing but a white tank top, no bra underneath (gettin' brave over here), a pair of silver spanky shorts and a sparkly collar that looked like something out of 2001—thrown together literally 5 mins before I got on. So I stood up, gave her a little twirl and quickly sat back down trying not to look like a dorky shy girl.
"YAHS," "Yeah girl!" and a multitude of "whispers" and "private messages" complimenting my outfit infiltrated my chat screen. Flattered for sure! And that was big for me, because I'm kind of self-conscious about my behind to be honest. It's not exactly where I want it to be, I've had past lovers tell me "it's big" and as a woman, that's not always the best compliment. But I've grown to love my voluptuous booty and just try to exercise and take care of it the best way I know how.
"Well what's everyone else wearing?" I asked "Lemme see what you got on!" Before I knew it, we had a full on virtual fashion show going. Camera icons popped on as I called out screen names and each attendee stood up and gave us a look at their attire. Some with gorgeous, lacy lingerie, some proudly in a Speedo, some in white silky pajamas and one with nothing more than a white cock ring.
As I watched everyone have their moment, I observed the way the rest of the party attendees cheered and gave their cries of approval, and it almost brought me to tears.
You see, on our virtual events, you really can't put an age group on it (obviously over 18), we're extremely racially and gender diverse and we come in all shapes and sizes. It's not like we're a bunch of porn stars and Insta models just hanging out on Naughty Chat. We are real people with real bodies who are part of the lifestyle seeking other people in the lifestyle to connect with.
The amount of love, support and encouragement that was happening in that chat room that night was beyond beautiful! Everyone had their moment and received nothing but replies of positivity. You could see it on everyone's faces after they were done showing off their outfits—they were beaming with confidence! It was an emotional orgy made up of acceptance, positivity and encouragement.
If you're feeling shy about getting on camera at one of our virtual events, I say F*CK IT! Come on anyway. Because there's a whole group of friends who want to meet you, virtually embrace you and accept you for the wonderful, beautiful creature you are right here and right now.
