the safest thing to bring while traveling

SAFETY FIRST! ☝️⛑

Travel Insurance: If you do only one thing before you leave, make it getting travel insurance. I’ve heard far too many horror stories of travelers injuring themselves in remote places and ending up in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt. Don’t think that it won’t happen to you, because you know those travelers thought that, too.

UPDATE:
Ok, so we MAY have given you some spotty advice on our last newsletter...

In our last Inside Our Naughty Lives newsletter, we suggested bringing a power strip with you on a cruise so you don't have to look for outlets. Turns out, that's not necessarily a safe thing to do.

One of our Naughty Framily members pointed out that:
"It is strongly discouraged to bring a home power strip with you on a cruise ship (particularly the surge protectors we all use for our computers and tv’s).  These items present a serious fire risk onboard a ship because the ship’s electrical system is wired differently from home. These power strips plus the charging of lithium ion batteries may have played a role in the dive boat fire in California last Labor Day that killed 33 people). The crew on the cruise ships are trained to unplug phone, computer and other chargers in rooms that are not occupied. They may also confiscate surge protectors." Thanks, George, for letting us know so we could make this correction.

Our mistake, we apologize—you can punish us later!

Please be safe and DO NOT bring a power strip—and get some freaking travel insurance!
