IT'S MARDI GRAS TIME
Just to be clear, Mardi Gras isn't a single day, it's a season! It's about a month of non-stop parties, parades and amazing things to do and see in New Orleans. Bob & Tess? They know how to do it right!
For the second year in a row Bob & Tess marched in Krewe Boheme, which is a newer parade that celebrates artistic and literary interests who disregard conventional standards of behavior (practically made for Bob & Tess). This year's Supreme Green Fairy was Tarriona Tank Ball from New Orleans Grammy-nominated band, Tank and the Bangas.
Of course, within this parade, Bob & Tess started not one, but two krewes of their own: Krewe of R.U.M. (Really Un-sophisticated Men)—and a nod to Bob's love of rum. And Krewe of S.L.U.T.S (Sexy Ladies Up To Something).
What the heck is a krewe? A krewe is a social organization that puts on a parade or ball for the Carnival season.
They marched throughout the city proudly wearing their lounge coats and garter belts, representing sexual freedom. Then headed to the Absinthe Ball afterwards to listen and dance to some of the top local bands in New Orleans. Mardi Gras is a very special time for us and we love giving you a taste of it at our Mardi Gras Ball at Naughty in N'awlins.
Below is our Framily portrait, right before we headed out to kick off the Mardi Gras season for 2020 as the Krewe of R.U.M. and the Krewe of S.L.U.T.S. The top right is Bob & Tess during Mardi Gras in 2016 and the bottom left is them at the St. Anne parade in 2013. Seasoned Mardi Gras vets they are!
