Back in ‘99—when the 1st Naughty N’awlins happened—it was a gathering of curious, friendly, mature friends who loved sex. 25 years later, Naughty N’awlins is one of the most well-known, prolific, go-to events of the year in the sex-positive industry, providing sexually open-minded couples a place to explore, play, learn, and have fun—a sexual playground notorious for deepening relationships and broadening horizons.

This year’s event was attended by a deliciously diverse collection of sexually-positive people in a wide range of ages, ethnicity, sexuality, and preference, all somewhere on the non-monogamous scale, who loved to dance, were curious enough to learn, played by the rules, and brought the heat when it came to the theme parties. We paraded through the streets in solidarity with everyone’s sexual freedom, partied in some of the most well-known bars on Bourbon Street, gained knowledge from some of the industry’s top educators, began friendships that we’ll cherish forever, and had sexual experiences that only the bravest and most open-minded couple could enjoy. 25 years later, we have “Getting Naughty” down to a science.

We made the NOPSI Hotel so much more than just the overflow, it was an entirely separate party on its own. The rooftop housed our topless pool parties, we had playrooms, a dungeon, and a ballroom there for our Day-Pass holders and guests staying there when they didn’t want to be at the Astor. It became a whole new environment where we found some of our younger guests, artists, and entertainers hanging out.

Addressing one of many elephants in the room, a big focus for Naughty N’awlins 2023 was the issue of ‘safety'.’ This year we launched the Safer Sex Advocacy program. Our playrooms were safeguarded by a great team of highly educated, well-trained individuals who surveillances the area with a discerning, fine-tooth comb, and made the Naughty playrooms a certified safe place for sex.

We featured new artists and entertainers this year including new standup comedy segments by comedians such as Nature Boy, B Dub, and Tony Frederick. Adding to our existing collection of amazing DJs, DJ Life of Spice debuted an original song by yours truly “Let’s Get Naughty.” We had a cowboy on rollerskates and light artists that mesmerized our dance floors. Our vendors continue to get better every year, bringing sexy attire, accessories, and useful trinkets to remind you of your Naughty side. It’s one of the best networking experiences of the year. Vendors, educators, artists, and industry professionals alike can all find common ground and opportunities while participating in our event.

To honor 25 years of Naughty behavior, we crowned our first foursome as Naughty N’awlins 2023 Kings & Queens. The foursome from Swinky Life consists of Phoenixx Phyre & Crimson and Myrina & Tristan (also from Accidental Swingers). It was a great first for Naughty N’awlins and definitely paves the way for years to come. Another special detail of our Mardi Gras finale party was the Breast Cancer Awareness beads we threw out to the crowd in honor of 2022’s Queen who could not make it due to illness, and also in honor of anyone in the lifestyle affected by cancer in any way.

What a way to celebrate a milestone. This year’s event felt significant, it felt bigger, better, and more alive than ever. From those who return year after year to sharpen their skills and enrich their experience to the new people who curiously walk the floors blossoming into their sexual openness, our guests are some of the most interesting, fun, creative, and kind people you will ever know. That is what makes us Naughty. We hope to see you all next year in 2024!
