Tess & Bob’s 2022 Annual Naughty N’awlins Recommendations: Food

Every year we add a couple of recommendations to help you find some places you may not know about. Tourists always spend so much time on Bourbon Street, which is great, but there are so many gems located just off Bourbon Street, that we wanted to share some.

The Food Edition

New Orleans School of Cooking

241 Dauphine St.

11 am – 7 pm
Buy Tickets Here

We are having an Optional Dinner on Tuesday, July 5th. It is more than just a dinner, the chef will start you out with a signature New Orleans cocktail, then demonstrate how to cook New Orlean's food, and then you will get to have a three-course meal. It is a great way to get to know other Naughty attendees early on and learn about New Orleans cocktails and cooking.

Drag & Burlesque Brunches

Astor Crowne Plaza

2nd floor - Grand Ballroom

11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Friday & Saturday

On Friday we will have our own Drag Brunch in our big ballroom and on Saturday we will have a Burlesque Brunch, which will feature the award-winning troupe of Burlesque Dancers.

Each Brunch will be from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm so you will have time to enjoy the Bourbon Street parties.

Palm & Pine

308 N Rampart St,

Thursday 5:30–9 PM
Friday 5:30 PM–1 AM
Saturday 5:30 PM–1 AM

This restaurant has quickly become one of our favorites and is not far from the hotel (& the Upper Quarter Bar). Their Brunch is fabulous (see pics from last week’s Sunday Brunch below). Go to their website to check out their menu and read all of the accolades they are receiving.

They are open late on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cafe Beignet

334 Royal St,
7 am – 5 pm
Cafe Beignet Website

Want to get some great beignets but don’t want to walk all the way to Cafe Du Monde? Cafe Beignet is not far from our hotel and they have a great breakfast menu and lots of mimosa choices. They have good coffee too.

Daisy Dukes
