Sexual Freedom Parade: Be your sexy self
It’s a new era and people are more open about their sexuality than ever. Gender is evolving. Gay marriage is legal. Kink is a household term, and people everywhere are rethinking monogamy as the only acceptable form of partnership. And yet, in this era of unprecedented acceptance, so many of us still have to hide who we really are.
Since the early days of Naughty N’awlins, we’ve hosted the ‘Sexual Freedom Parade’ as part of our event, where our guests dress in something white and sexy and parade through the streets of the French Quarter in New Orleans with signs and decor that expresses their sexual freedom—be it swingers, polyamorous, bisexual, asexual and everything in between. It’s the awareness and appreciation of these many orientations of the sex-positive community that the Sexual Freedom Parade aims to shed a light on. It is the first and largest Sexual Freedom Parade in the country and after a long, unprecedented break due to the pandemic, it’s finally back!
On the third day of Naughty N’awlins 2022 (July 8), we’ll be having our 18th Annual Sexual Freedom Parade. Naughty N’awlins attendees are welcome to join in on the parade and after-party at no additional charge. But this year, we’re inviting the public to express their sexuality and march in the parade, along with the afterparty at the House of Blues, enjoy DJs, live music, dancing, performances, fetish tastings, education, food, vendors, and much more. With special appearances from Cha-Wa (a local New Orleans band), Trixie Minx Productions, and Happy Kitten Rope. Don’t forget to wear white!
