New Orleans is well-known for its diverse and unique culture which is expressed through its delicious Creole, Cajun, or Southern cuisine, the music that fills the air, the history that makes its foundation, the art, and the easy-going, interesting ways of its people. One thing everyone wants when they come to New Orleans is the “authentic New Orleans experience,” as locals, we know that can’t be wrapped up into one day or even a week, because that authentic experience is more of a feeling, a lifestyle rather what most think: boobies, beads, crawfish and some frozen drink in a hand grenade. It’s immersing yourself in the culture, learning about the culture bearers, and allowing yourself to experience it without any expectations. When you come down here for Naughty N’awlins, we encourage you to explore the city and the wonderful things that make up its culture, taste the food, observe the art, dance to the music, and let the good times roll!

Here are 7 ways you can enjoy New Orleans during your stay here:

Haunted Tours

We take pride in our haunted history. If the building is old (which most are) it probably has a ghost story. Discover the dark side of New Orleans with a tour led by a local guide, as they take you through the French Quarter to visit the city’s most infamous and eerie locations. Museums

As an important city for art, history, and music, New Orleans definitely has some amazing museums. The Odgen Museum of Southern Art a Smithsonian-affiliated and celebrates the culture and aesthetic of Southern artists. New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) boasts impressive French and American art and traveling exhibits that feature everything from fashion to digital media. It remains to be one of the South’s most important fine art collections. The National World War II Museum is a sprawling complex of modern buildings located in the Warehouse District and features large narrative exhibits that include very detailed, personal accounts from eyewitnesses from WWII. And in the French Quarter, you can visit the Museum of Death, which appeals to those with a dark sense of humor and interest in the macabre, exhibits feature everything from serial killers and morgues to death-themed art.
