New Orleans is in a constant state of celebration. Our year begins with Mardi Gras, then we head into crawfish season which means dancing our way through Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest and spoiling ourselves at various food festivals. Then Summer arrives with Gay Pride and then the city fills to the brim for Essence Fest and we continue on by celebrating Satchmo at his SummerFest, cool off in the art district in our white linens, then we run through the streets in red dresses off into the Fall season just in time for the Voodoo Music + Art Experience and finally gathering together for holiday celebrations until the new year when we can do it all over again.
And right smack dab in the middle of Summer, somewhere between Pride and Southern Decadence, the swingers, exhibitionists, curious, kinky and sex positive wonders of the world take over the French Quarter for a week of sexual indulgence—also known as Naughty N'awlins.
Our event may be smaller in comparison to the likes of Jazz Fest, Pride and Voodoo, but make no mistake, Naughty N'awlins makes a great financial impact on the City of New Orleans. By attending Naughty N'awlins, you help in giving a voice to the sex positive lifestyle. We parade through the streets in the Sexual Freedom Parade (the world's largest parade dedicated to the open lifestyle), we takeover hotels and bars, and party like there's no tomorrow. When the Naughty people takeover, trust us, the city knows it. From the food you choose to experience, the lovely libations you sip, the little odd and ends you purchase to bring back as tokens of your awesome, liberated lifestyle, you contribute more than you ever could imagine to the City of New Orleans.
