Artist Spotlight: Pashur
One of the pioneers in modern body painting, award-winning artist Pashur has been body painting for 27 years. He is known for sexy and fun innovative designs and his artistic influence can be seen throughout the industry all over the world. His list of accolades and achievements is surreal. Pashur has body-painted at The Playboy Mansion numerous times and has been a guest on Playboy Radio’s SWING show. Pashur has created body paint costumes for Cirque du Soleil. He was featured on the hit SyFy Channel TV Show, "FaceOff" as a body paint expert, and as a consultant, helped develop the hit body paint competition television show Skin Wars. Pashur's body paint video on BuzzFeed was their most-watched video of 2016, with over 23 million views. In 2017, Depeche Mode asked Pashur to feature his body painting work on their Facebook page. Thrillist L.A. chose Pashur as having the coolest job in Los Angeles. He has been a special guest on the most popular TV shows in Japan, Portugal, and the States. Pashur has been published in hundreds of magazines around the world, including the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, painted for feature films, numerous music videos, and television shows, and body painted in over 20 countries. Pashur has body painted at the biggest events in the world, such as Mardi Gras and Fantasy Fest - where he has won several of his numerous body painting awards. Pashur has written and published several face and body painting books and is sponsored by several top body paint brands. Pashur currently resides in Los Angeles, California where he continues to innovate and break boundaries with his body painting art.
