5 Reasons Why You Should Consider the NOPSI Hotel This Year in New Orleans
The Naughty N’awlins experience is constantly growing and expanding. The NOPSI Hotel, located on Baronne St. in the Central Business District (the “CBD” as the locals call it), is a polished, sophisticated hotel that boasts a rich history in New Orleans. What once was our “overflow” hotel, has evolved into an entire extension of our event; a place for people to enjoy a swanky topless pool, quieter, luxurious rooms, and just a stone’s throw away from the best lifestyle club in the city. It didn’t take long for us to realize that the NOPSI creates a vibe of its own for our guests that’s so much more than just an “overflow hotel.” If you’ve been to Naughty N’awlins before and would love a change of scenery or perhaps you’re new and would like to start slowly without the hustle and bustle of the main hotel (Astor Crowne Plaza), then we highly recommend choosing the NOPSI for your stay with us at Naughty N’awlins.
Here are 5 reasons why you’ll love the NOPSI:
Daily Topless Pool Parties
You’re on a sleek modern roof-top pool with the City of New Orleans buzzing beneath you, sun in the sky, a cold drink in hand, topless and scantily clad friends and sexy people surround you and the DJ is blasting your song—that’s what our daily rooftop parties at the NOPSI Hotel are like. This sexy rooftop is topless-optional and overlooks the heart of the Big Easy. Come bathe in the sun, dare to be bare, and enjoy daily activities like body painting, as well as every nightly party with the DJ and a chill vibe.
Playrooms & Dungeons
You don't have to leave the hotel to play. We’re expanding our dungeons and playrooms to the NOPSI Hotel in addition to the Astor Crowne Plaza. If you feel like staying around the immediate area, you won’t be missing out on the action. We’ll have a few of our vendors and educators there as well to make sure they can guide you in the right direction. The playrooms tend to get really crowded at the Astor, sometimes making it difficult to really live out your fantasies. Come where it’s a little quieter and there are fewer people around and truly let yourself let go and enjoy. The same rules still apply, but this gives you a little more room to stretch out.
Amenities
A century ago, the NOPSI (New Orleans Public Service Inc) was the headquarters of the city’s former utility and transportation provider. Today, they’re putting a modern-day spin on the notion of public service by honoring Gulf Coast cuisine and local libations. NOPSI’s restaurant Public Service provides New Southern cuisine & whiskey cocktails served in a spacious, stylish space with a casual yet sophisticated mood that respects the local ingredients of its regional cuisine with a menu honoring Gulf Coast fishermen and farmers. And for a traditional New Orleans cocktail, try NOPSI’s time-warp bar Henry’s Gin Bar—in honor of Henry C. Ramos who created one of New Orleans’ most famous cocktails: The Ramos Gin Fizz, a refreshing, floral concoction with orange flower water and egg white froth. It’s one of the many classic cocktails on offer at the atmospheric bar and adjoining outdoor patio, a lush oasis perfect for cocktails, and light bites.
Close to Collette
Colette is a lifestyle club in New Orleans, they are a BYOB club with two floors that offer a sexy atmosphere and plenty of dynamic spaces to play upstairs including a luxurious study lounge, a movie theater, a large mirrored room, and smaller spaces to do what you want—and it’s all about a block away from the NOPSI. They have late hours so if you feel like changing your scenery, come over to Colette and check off a few more boxes on your “Places I’ve Had Sex At” list.
Quieter
The main hotel is right on the corner of loud & crazy…..we mean…Canal & Bourbon St. While it’s a blast and definitely something to be experienced, it stays noisy all night long. For some guests, it’s been difficult to get a good night’s sleep, and we know after a full day of being Naughty, you need your beauty rest. The NOPSI is located in the Central Business District, and is close walking distance to the Astor Crowne Plaza and the French Quarter, but just far enough where the streets are quieter and there are fewer people everywhere. If you value your quiet time and want to be somewhere a little less chaotic, this is where you should stay.
Bonus Tip
There are still some really nice suites available, starting at $279 (Astor is $419)! If you're only buying a 3-night package, you are required to stay at the NOPSI, Astor requires a 4-night package, but people are choosing to stay for 3+ nights at the NOPSI because of the amazing amenities above.
