Naughty Vegas Recap

Naughty Vegas Recap

I finally got back from Vegas and got a couple of nights of sleep (something I didn’t get during Naughty Vegas). Anyway, here is my recap of the week, through my eyes:

Tuesday, Oct 4

I arrived in Vegas and went right to work. I had to pick up a lot of things (printing, décor, signs, costumes, and more for the event).

Our early arriving staff stuffed bags and started set up before heading out to have a small pre-party so our staff could meet up and get to know each other.

Wednesday, Oct 5

We opened check-in early and kept setting up for Thursday.

I picked up a couple of things, including some weed (hey, it’s legal in Nevada, don’t judge me).  There are two dispensaries nearby (Cookies and Re-Leaf) and they even had a strand of edibles called Sin City (I got some!).

It’s one perk when attending Naughty Vegas / Sin City that you don’t get in other cities. Having legal dispensaries nearby was a great addition and helped give me a couple of relaxed and fun experiences with the help of some local, legal medicine. And you can bring some home (I did).

Disclaimer: If we were talking and I didn’t say much, but I smiled a lot… now you know why.

I also picked up 800 lanyards, since ours didn’t come in on time. I got them next door at the World’s Largest Souvenir Shop. They were pretty cool. We got a variety that had Vegas, aliens, pot leaves, and more Vegas themes. I’m wearing mine right now, with my keys hanging from my neck.

We had a welcome seminar, and a Meet & Greet, and before heading to Area 15. At the same time, there was a weekly cornhole tournament. They do this every week at the Ahern and this week; they had some national and world champions playing. I love playing cornhole (especially naked in Zipolite, MX), but I’d much rather hang out with the sexy people at Naughty Vegas/Sin City than to play cornhole.

Note: Next year there will be no cornhole because we are buying out the hotel Wednesday Night. Maybe they can play on Tuesday night.

I rode to Area 15 with a group of rowdy, fun and costumed people from all over. The ride on the bus was great and I met a few people that I would interact with throughout the week.

At Area 15, we had mixed results. About 60% of the people that came over went to exhibits and had fun. From Zombie killing to psychedelic Wink’s World, to the Illumination and the hard-to-explain Omega Mart (Meowwolf) people had a blast and really enjoyed exploring the exhibits, trying exotic cocktails, and grabbing a bite.

I love Area 15 and while I have been 4 times, I still have not seen everything.

Drinks at Area 15

A few folks sat at the main bar for a few minutes and then left. They wanted a complete takeover and decided to head back to the hotel early.

Even though the majority had a great time at Area 15, we have decided that next year we will take over the entire hotel so we can open playrooms earlier and we can find a place for a complete takeover next year.

There are only 200 rooms at our host hotel, so it should be easy to find 200 couples who will stay all four nights, others can stay at the Sahara or the Strat and simply walk over.

 Thursday Oct 6

Well, it’s finally here and we have a full hotel takeover! I was so happy when I got the word that everyone had checked out and we were the only ones in the hotel until Sunday.

 Let’s Party!

I had more set up to do and I ran to a few local businesses Thursday to finish up shopping for what we needed.

I didn’t get to the pool this day, but I did watch the entire Jen Porter show and I gotta tell you, I loved it. She is so much fun, so sexy (and a little bit raunchy) but she kept the perfect mix of sexy and great music. I could listen to Jen all night long.

I got to say that the food was better than I expected. I really like octopus, something you can easily get where I live in Mexico), but it is extremely hard to cook well. Not only did the chef nail the octopus but everything was really great.

Hotel food is never great, but the pizzeria, the Italian Restaurant, the burgers and the brunches and dinner shows were all excellent.

It’s soooooo nice to have good food onsite.

Neon Night did not disappoint. I really like seeing sexy outfits glow under the blacklights and the body painters really did a great job.

I toured many of the playrooms Thursday night and it was hit or miss, early on, but it kicked up later (early morning) in a couple of the rooms I stopped into.

I was impressed with several of the rooms (especially on floors 5, 6, 7 & 9). They took a lot of effort to decorate, add lights, great music and the penthouse had a Sybian, Motor Bunny, a cross, a swing and a mechanical toy.

Well done Whisper’s, you guys really brought it to the Penthouse Suite.

 Friday, Oct 7

Naughty Vegas/Sin City was in full swing. The energy was palatable everywhere.

I missed the brunch, but I heard that the drag brunch was amazing. I got a lot of positive feedback from this show. It was the most popular day show of the week.

I did (finally) make the pool party and I hung out here for a while. I actually stopped by to hear the Yacht Rock on Thursday but I was only able to stay for a few minutes (I love Yacht Rock!).

I hung out for a while at the pool before heading up stairs to get ready for tonight’s show with Frank Sinatra and Elvis. I couldn’t wait!

The show turned out to be my favorite show of the weekend. Originally, we were supposed to have Frank, Sammy & Dean for a Rat Pack show, but Sammy & Dean got Covid, so we substituted an Elvis and a showgirl. Many attendees took photos with them before Elvis’ show. He was campy and fun, just like you expect from a Vegas Elvis. It was a fun show, and he sang many requests.

After almost an hour of Elvis, he finally “left the building” and Frank came on. I was not disappointed. Not only could Frank sing, but he was funny, and knew how to entertain. Frank was amazing and I hope we can book him for next year.

I went to the big party, and I was pleasantly surprised by the creative (& fun) Naughty Disney theme costumes. This was our “wildcard” theme, and we didn’t know how many would participate, but this is what won the vote for theme night so we were stuck with it.

Thank goodness we got stuck with Disney, because it was my favorite theme night. So many great costumes and a few people even got “buzzed” by Buzz Lightyear (to Orgasms & Beyond!).

The big room emptied out early but the showroom (where the brunches and dinner shows were located) was popping. Maybe it was because Sante was playing 80’s hits. I don’t know why, but I probably danced more this night, than any other night.

I crashed early tonight (probably tired from dancing and drinking so much). I only went to two playrooms before heading back to my room to crash.

 Saturday, Oct 8

This was my overall favorite day. I had fun every day, but today and tonight really was a complete day of Naughty sexiness.

I started out by going to the Burlesque Brunch (which was sold out). I joined Sante for a few minutes but had to move to the back to accommodate paid guests. My favorite act was the guy who stripped on stilts. That just cracked me up.

Afterward, I spent a while at the pool, drinking those damn strawberry daiquiris. Damn, they were good. I want one now. OK, focus Bob, back to the blog…

We ate at the Italian restaurant (I am so glad we finally have good food) before heading out to see Kool & the Gang just a couple blocks away. I went with a few friends and staff members and we had a blast. So many great songs, but I think Hollywood Swinging was my favorite one (go figure).

I hated to miss Jen Porter’s second show, but when in Vegas, I gotta do at least one show and since it was 8 – 9:30, I didn’t miss a lot back at the hotel.

Once again, I loved the costumes. My favorite was a body-painted tiger. She told me it took 4 hours to get painted (that’s dedication to look so good).

I watched the costume contest and then headed to the showroom for more 80’s music. I really loved the music, and the different DJ’s in this room most of the weekend. Maybe I’m more of an 80’s guy after all.

I had a little party in my room, until 6 am which made sure this was my favorite night of the week. Good times, even better friends and a great way to end the week.

 I slept in a little on Sunday…

 Sunday Oct 9

I was pretty tired but got up early (for me) and spend a couple of hours finding all of the things we brought and started packing. Around 11 some friends picked me up so we could go watch some football (Go Saints!) and we had a light meal while watching our teams win. Then we headed to Whispers, for a wonderfully relaxing day.

I went skinny dipping and sat around most of the day being lazy and catching up with the few people I hadn’t had time to talk to throughout the week.

I had one of Whisper’s (Tom’s) signature burgers and I gotta say (I just realized that I say “I gotta say” a lot), Tom has huge meat. I could barely get it in my mouth. I am glad I ate lightly while watching the game.

One of our leading staff member’s birthday was Sunday, so Whisper’s got a cake and most of our staff came by to celebrate.

I watched a beautiful sunset before heading back to the hotel. I hung out with some friends, laying around naked in their room while listening to music. It was a magical night, probably my favorite evening.

Recap: I had a lot of favorites, but better to fill your weekend with favorites at an event like Naughty Vegas/Sin City than to stay home and play cornhole with your neighbors.

I sent an email out prior to the event and asked people to stop me and say “Hi!” if they saw me and I was blessed that so many people took time to chat and get to know me a little better. I felt like I was able to reconnect with a lot of old friends, who I hadn’t seen in a while, and I was able to make several new friends.

After all, isn’t that what these events are all about? I mean the entertainers were better than I expected, and the theme parties were a lot of fun, but the friendships that are forged at a Naughty Event last long after the final load out is completed.

What is the value of a lifelong friend?

 To me: Priceless.

 My Advice

 1.     Next year stay at the main hotel. The other, overflow hotels are nice, but nothing is as nice as being able to walk to and from the party and your room in your underwear, body paint or something super sexy.

 2.     Come early. You’ll need to book 4 nights to stay in the main hotel but consider coming in on Tuesday. It is a great opportunity to catch a Vegas show (it’s easier to get tickets on a Tuesday), to get used to the time zone (especially for you East coasters).

This year we had 85% of the hotel on Wednesday night, so it won’t take many more to sell out the hotel for four nights.

 3.     Stay Late. The after-party at Whispers was amazing, a highlight of the week. Next year avoid the crowds at the airport and stay over Sunday night and plan on joining me (and a bunch of our staff) for another fun day and invite someone back to your room.

 4.     Book a couple of dinner events (Brunches & Dinner Shows). We got great feedback and if you are going to be eating anyway, why not see a show with friends? It’s totally worth it.

 5.     Book soon. We are having a special $200 off deal that is only going to this year’s attendees as a thank you for trusting us with your valued time. The prices will go up to $725 before you know it. Buy now and pay only $525 and you will have money left over to book your flights. This offer ends this week.

I hope you will join us for next year’s Naughty Vegas / Sin City. We are partnering with Pride Las Vegas, and we plan on parading in the Pride Parade with lots of sexy Naughty people as we stand up for sexual freedom while having fun, getting laid and enjoying Las Vegas.

 Viva Las Vegas!

 See you next year…

 Bob
