Naughty Events 2021 Wrap Up
Even if 2021 wasn’t the year we had hoped for, this year gave us plenty of reasons to feel excited about having events again. We were able to put on Naughty N’awlins bigger and better than we did in 2020, while having to adapt to the new realities of COVID. Our guests, did an amazing job and took all the proper precautions needed to make our event one of the safest lifestyle events in 2021,
We had an amazing team of ambassadors who helped guests check-in, create the playrooms, decorate for the theme night parties, and generally just made the event run smoothly. 2021 almost felt like a homecoming as we got to see old friends who have been socially distanced for the last year, we had more attendance, more activities, more entertainers and educators making it feel more like the Naughty N’awlins we’ve been throwing for over 20 years!
We hope that things happening in the world can improve so we are able to continue throwing the largest lifestyle event in the country. This year was about adapting, and doing things differently than we have before. Cutting things out of our lives that no longer serve us and doing what it right for ourselves. Because how can we possibly take care of others if we aren’t taking care of ourselves? If there’s anything this year taught us, it taught us a lot about self-love and taking time to care for ourselves. We hope the same thing for you. Whether self-care means taking a much-needed vacation, treating yourself to an experience you’ve always wanted to have or just practicing new forms of communication so you can express more of how you feel and what you want. Know that we support your open-mindedness and need for adventure.
Of course the year can’t end without the obligatory question of “what are your new year resolutions?” Our Naughty Team took some time to reflect on their year and collect some of their favorite moments in photos along with their resolutions for 2021.
BOB
“My resolution is to learn and read more (especially Spanish) while continuing on my quest to see more sunsets....”
TESS
“1. Treat me with the love, kindness, and compassion that I so easily give to others.
2. Step out of my comfort zone and release the creativity inside me.
3. Put me first; my health, my desires, my dreams. Make them my reality.”
NICKI
“My resolutions will be to spend more time making meaningful connections and saying yes to more adventures.”
Jeanine aka “OG” J9
“Enjoy my free time more, I’m always on the road traveling and when I’m home I need to relax more and do more things at home. I have a farm and love spending time with my animals, having friends visit, I want to fish more and sit by the fire.
I’m going to go to the beach more and have time to myself, enjoy the sunrise and sunset. I miss so much beauty cause I’m always living fast, I need to slow down. Also, let my family and friends know how much they are on my mind and to reach out more. Check-in more often.”
Janine aka “Naughty J9”
“1 - Improve relationship with myself - Learn to love and respect myself more.
2 - Stop procrastinating - Manage time better and be more productive.
3 - Get rid of things that weigh me down and do not align with my future; people, things, situations.”
