Normalizing in New Orleans
When considering the culture, the lifestyle and just the average day-to-day buzz of the Big Easy, was there ever really a normal in New Orleans? Our people will dress in costumes on a Tuesday in broad daylight, we parade for weddings the same way we do deaths, we do our laundry in bars and keep a cold boozy drinks in our bike cup holders. Normal to us, can look like anarchy to others, but it's home and it's great to be back!
Bob and Tess have returned from Mexico and happy to be back in New Orleans where they have reliable internet, big computer screens, and their comfy home offices—separate of course, it's nice to work next to each other but we've heard that sometimes you can get a bit more work done if Bob's not right next to you!
As soon as they got back, Bob & Tess went on a bike ride through the French Quarter to explore the empty streets of the city that are usually filled with people and sounds of jazz playing everywhere. But although the windows of most shops and restaurants have been boarded up until they can open again, the local artists of New Orleans managed to turn the shuttered streets of the French Quarter into a gallery of murals and inspirational, politically-speaking street art.
Their rides through Vieux Carre stretch into sunset finales at Bayou St. John, which is located in Mid-City—a quieter, more residential part of town. The smells of crawfish boils linger in the air. Bob & Tess like picking up crawfish to go, not only because it's delicious and in season, but it helps support the people and small businesses kind enough to supply them. Exploring New Orleans during this time—while social distancing of course—is a good reminder that the spirit of our city is what keeps us alive and how we're able to persevere.
As a way to maintain social distancing and keeping in contact with our Naughty friends at home doing the same, Bob & Tess have been hosting sexy online get togethers on Friday evenings. During this time, Bob & Tess have been putting a lot of focus on what is to become of the upcoming Naughty N'awlins event. They have just announced that after long and careful deliberation and inclusion of our hotel partners, city and state officials, and consulting with some of the country’s top doctors and viral experts, we have made the decision to move Naughty N'awlins to August 19-23, 2020. They have taken into account all of your wonderful suggestions and are so appreciative that so many of you took the time to communicate with us to help us continue to create the best possible event.
It's been a season of change for Bob & Tess and for Naughty Events. They truly value each and every friendship/relationship they have with their lifestyle friends and framily, which is why they continue to create ways to connect with you—no matter what.
