I'm choosing Fantasy, over Reality
Hi Y'all,
It's been a strange couple of weeks all over the world. So, I thought y'all may need a little story time in your life and a bit of fantasy, romance, eroticism and a bit of kink to keep you entertained for a while. I'm referring to a series of books I read in my early teenage years (maybe14-15 years old), The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A.N. Roquelaure (also know as Anne Rice, yup, the same one that wrote Interview With The Vampire).
I still have vivid memories of being curled up on the sofa in our family living room, with my nose buried so close to my book hoping my parents wouldn't see me blush or be able to read the words on the page. I remember I had the paperback version of these books, the covers were plain writing on three different colors; red, white and black, so in my mind I thought it was safe to read erotic novels around the house. (When I think of this now, it seems pretty silly.) I don't think my father ever knew what I was reading so intently, but I'm pretty sure my mother didโshe read romance novels like they were going out of style.
The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy was my first awakening into the vast world of sexuality and variety of sexual experiences that are available. In this series, loosely based on the fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty, unfolds kingdoms entrenched in sexual servitude and pleasure training for their monarchies, including lessons on how to be the perfect "pony" (I particularly enjoyed this portion of the novels). I'm sure you can imagine how intrigued I was as a teenager as this three-novel series unfolded.
During these interesting times, I've decided to pick up this series again and drift into a fantasy land of pleasure, erotism, romance and a few Naughty things. If I'm going to be spending more time at home at least I might as well #GetNaughty and snuggle up with a good book.
February's Recommend Reading: The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A.N. Roquelaure
Insider Tip from Tess: There is a fourth novel in this series that was written after the initial trilogy, Beauty's Kingdom by A.N. Roquelaure. Looks like we will have plenty of Naughty" things to read as we self quarantine.
Much love,
